I agree with you 100%.
Russians also made a point by loitering around Poti to show Georgia "I will leave when I feel like it and here is a lesson you will not forget"
If this was a war of conquest, Russia simply would have taken Tblisi. It would have literally only taken them days to take the entire country if that was their goal, but it clearly is not, no matter how western media tries to spin it

@Fr3k3 Must have something to do with Russian peacekeepers and Tskhinvali civilians getting a barrage of Katyusha rockets surprisingly landing onto their heads in the middle of an August night. If you ask me, I'd say a normal response would be to prevent that from happening again in the near future.
