There's one way to successful crunches (aka sit-ups). We want to make sure we're using our AB muscles, not our neck or back. Here's a short crunch session for you. Only do what you're comfortable with.

  • And remember.. the way you train your body is how it takes shape.

  • Thanks for the stars! :)

The benefit of pulling the belly in is to contract the transverse abdominis (TVA). It's a very big part of the abdominal area - the muscle that holds everything in. If you want tight abs (and smaller stomach area), this is important. Without this, you're not getting the full benefit. Many people don't talk about it... or know about it.. and it makes getting results very elusive.

  • so i have been lifting for like a year and i had some gains, i checked almost any video and read a lot of articles-since i have no money or any resource to hire a coach or something like that. Thanks for the informative videos but i'd really like you to make this clear ^.^" why pulling the belly inside while doing crunches? what is the benefit? i never heard it anywhere. Thanks for your time and thanks for the video. 5 stars!
