@Applebaum I know this. What do you think I'm not aware that the one drop rule was created by whites. I'm very aware of that. We don't need dark skinned west Africans. What positive change would that make? Nothing. Complexion is complexion and color is color. Doesn't mean a thing. There are plenty of darker skinned blacks in the circles I net work in, there are also many lighter skinned blacks as myself and my family. Why would we need more of one complexion to make a positive change?

@CHNJ101 Nothing wrong with being mixed raced, or light skinned black (however people want to classify themselves is cool).
The 1 drop rule was created to keep wealth white.
Fact is whiteness buys you privilege
Black people of the African Diaspora come in all hues.... but the 'elite' blacks tend to be on the lighter side...tis is not by accident, I think it would be really positive if more darker skinned more west african people had more wealth too

@Applebaum But why is that? what is wrong with us being mixed and lighter complected? Nothing the same way it is not wrong it be jet black. Black is beautiful in all shapes, sizes and shades. I do believe in the one drop rule because of friends that try to say oh I'm half this or half that. My thing is that your black. Point blank period.

i do find it a little unsettling that everyone in this vid happens to be mixed raced or ligth skinned black people (however people wanna deem themselv)es
Wheres all the jet black dark West African looking rich people?

you say so called. Upper class African Americans network with each other even Middle class and Upper Middle class African Americans. It seems exclusive, but Asians and African immigrants who are successful cooperate with their own family and other families. They create strong social links the same way you see these upper class African Americans. Why do you have a problem with this? You seem to just want to look down on people with dark skin in general. Why this obsession?
It's very sad when blacks don't fit the typical stereo types they're accuse of "Acting White", Class doesn't have a color... Just because they're not shown doing the "Electric Slide" at this ball doesn't mean they're acting white... Then on the other hand when rich black entertainers buy jewelry & cars they're Dumb Niggers etc that should be feeding Africa & giving there money to the poor !?!?!? Make Up Your minds People!
