This does not mess with a sound profile, The storm interrupts itself! However there is a new update for the storm that does improve sound response.

No! That is the cool thing, you get it for free, use it and enjoy it. Once you get hooked, I recommend the full slacker radio at a very affordable monthy or yearly rate (unlimited skips, unlimited custom stations, etc).

what firmware u use? and why does it cut out before song is finished?

I'm using the out of the box VZW firmware 4.7.0.75 which works great for me. Now, the audio will not cut out unless there is a profile that interrupts it. I usually use the "phone only" profile since that will only interrupt slacker for a phone call. Once you are done with the call, you can play the song again. Slacker pauses the song. Now on any other sound alert, slacker continues playing the song. So I think the issue is with the OS not allowing the audio channel to continue for Slacker.
