Documentary on Daniel independently operates a power standing wheelchair and cruising around at Kohl's department store. He parents taught him to drive the power wheelchair, because no one think he was smart enough and have enough find/gross motor skills to learn to operate a power wheelchair. This is a big surprise to a lot of people, because without the assistive technology, one can never tell how much he is capable to do on his own. Often, people ask, "can he see?", "can he hear?", "can he talk?", "can he remember?", "Can he swallow?", "Can he eat?", "Can he drink?", "Can he feel thing?", "Can he response?", "Does he understand what you said?", "Does he know where he is at?", "is he tried?", "Is he not feeling good?", "Is he sick?",, "Can he.......?" Now you know! Not only he has a nice smile, he know alot, has a good memory, and responds real slow.

  • I recently shopped Kohl's "online". I have mobile disability. I purchased a large area rug and when received, the rug is much darker than Kohl's online image. So, it needed to be returned and that I could not physically take it in nor did I feel I should pay for the return shipping cost. Called Kohl's and was told by two separate employees, one being a "supervisor" that Kohl's will "pick up the rug UPS". They never did. If you're disabled, do not purchase from Kohl's online.

  • @ChantallLoveXO This video is not intended to advertise for Kohl's. It is just a department store that we captured Daniel driving skills when he was standing. Sorry about your your online shopping experience. We normally do not shop online just to avoid the problems that you encounted. This way we can see and feel what the products is like before we purchase them. Good Luck with your future shopping experience.

  • My daughter Sarah loved your video..She is 19 and has CP...she loves Kohl's and she is getting a Permobil,,,,,Great video

  • I watched Sarah;s video on your channel, as well as your other daughter. Daniel is in bed now, so he'll have to watch it in tomorrow morning. Your daughters are so sweet and beautiful. I think Sarah will lowe her new Permobil. Is she getting the standing version of the Permobil?

  • Can't this thing go any faster, or is Daniel just being a bit cautious with the "throttle"? I usually get the impression from many such devices for the handicapped, that they're badly underpowered...

  • Not the Permobil. When it is in a standing position, it's at the fastest for the safety reason. However, when it is in the sitting position, it can go as fast as you can run. Each model operates at a different rate.

  • @Katilea69 hiya have you considered the M400 which is mid-wheel I'm getting my custom build in April the only difference is it's a mid wheel drive (no standing) and is around 18,000 (I'm also from the UK) permobil are having real trouble it getting their chairs out on motability due to the expense

  • I wish I could get one of these but no way they over £20,000 in UK! I'd love to go round my shopping centre stood up!!
