Best gig of 2010.

@violetfish You're out of mind. Stop spamming my profile. It's so childish to expect that people always play the same stuff. Lou Reed wants to express himself on another way, and he works with a great jazz musician. If you want recognition, then you have to listen to Robbie Williams. A good musician is playing what's on his mind now, not the past. Reed played avant-garde jazz and is playing avant-garde jazz now, so stop with crying about the poppy music you want to hear.

pretty tame stuff. Not impressed.

Sounds really good to me! I'm not sure how the hekling/booing went down but it seems like Zorn could have handled it better?
-
It was WRITTEN ON THE TICKET that it was improvisation By the way

Hey! This is good! Really surprised! I went to the John Zorn "Masada" family show 2 nights before. Maybe the people who walked out of this one should have went to the one I'd gone to.
I regret not buying tickets to this show and I would definitely go see them if they ever came back.

Why should they play, songs from The Velvet Underground or songs from Lou Reed's solo career ?...they play what they want, they're not slaves, they're free artists and should not please the audience. They play what they want and if the audience like it it's alright. Play music for yourself and there will always be an audience to follow you !

Wanta a little taste of mind-expanding music...right here! This is some really cool and beautiful collaborative sound making...right on!

Anybody who thought this trio was going to perform Reed or VU songs is an idiot. I say HA!

this sounds amazing. really beautiful. to hell w/the squares stuck in one era. probably the same people who turned up their noses at "bitches brew", "On the corner" or "In a silent way".
@violetfish Yeah dude, they should have played some VU hits...at a jazz festival. How dare they play improv jazz at a festival for jazz, total disappointment.

The weirdest experience I've ever lived. Interesting at some levels, but SO weird. And people leaving and screaming shite is even harsher than the music they did.
