The Shore Acres Wave occur when winter storm enraged seas, generate 25 to 40 foot swells. The waves collide with an 80 to 100 foot cliff line. The results are spectacular beauty, awesome power, and mesmerizing fury.

i really love going out there to watch this it is one of my favorite things to do in the area, i have some pics of my under one of these waves and i was soaked in the aftermath.

I used to live down there. We would always go after a big storm and watch these all day. Miss it. Thanks for sharing

or how about watching the storms at bastendorff? that is quite amazing also.... my husband would watch them come in and drum to them....

we used to live in coos bay- and went to shore acres a lot to see stuff like this... we live near prtland now and seeing this makes me kinda homesick....
