Question, when you're firing in fully automatic mode, does the hammer follow the slide to the closed position to fire the next round, or is the hammer motion delayed until the slide closes and then released? This animation does not include this function, the hammer is activated by the trigger in every clip.

Nothing is illegal to show in the U.S.

@xp41007 i was gonna say fail. cause ever heard of the ak pistol? (stockless)
-
@CanadianFE no that is called hammer follow and creates slam fire your rifle will blow up. this video shows the fa works i thought it was illegal in the u.s. to show.

@CanadianFE when put on full auto mode a peice on the selector holds down a protruding peice of the secondary sear keeping the hammer fro catching and there is a small groove in the hammer in which the corner of the auto sear(piece sticking up behind the rounds) falls into and when the bold rides forward and locks into position hits the autosear and it removes it from the groove in the hammer thus releasing the hammer striking the firing pin and repeating. did that clear it up for you guys?

Excellent video. After seeing the slower part of the video I began to see how simple the operation of the AK really is. Now, I have a better understanding of my own AK-74.

Does the AK-47 not use a recoil spring in the stock? just wondering before i get one and order a folding stock upgrade

@garrettdutton10 Nope. the Recoil mainspring is housed in the receiver.

how it goes automatic??

@MrEpiclost the bolt trips the auto sear as it goes forward after it cycles, dropping the hammer.
