Can I use the hand cannon only on hardcore mode? or any mode?

ANY mode, but you have to beat Hard Core first.

So I can only unlock this gun when I have finished "hard core" difficulty? If I have finished "Zealot" difficulty, I can't unlock it?

Yes, only after you beat Hard Core mode do you unlock the Hand Cannon.

I was wondering, and thinking there would be a reward for defeating hardcore mode, but this, however was far from what I expected haha, but nonetheless badass at the same time. Question, can you upgrade the hand cannon? If so what's the major difference? Second question, how hard was it to complete hardcore mode, was it frustrating to the point where you wanted to throw your controllor through the t.v. and had so much rage you felt you could kill chuck norris? Or was it managable.

There's only one upgrade slot, I don't think it does anything. I've tried it and I see no difference.

The difficulty was manageable, but it was also super annoying if you died 2 hours past your last save.

@VenomProject boy, you said it. DS2 was probably one of the hardest games to come out in 2011. I only just beat hard core mode and I have had this game since it came out. I had to schedule my play time accordingly or else I wouldn't have been able do it

the hand cannon has only one upgrade slot which increases its selling price to 5000 credits
