Melodic metal song by me.
I am not really sure what metal genre this would fit in, it has influences from melodic death, black metal, and acoustic, so...

  • Great stuff, man! You are very talented!

  • @Schalksnarr Thanks!

  • I didn't know death metal could be melodic. I thought it was just heavy riffs with lots of screaming and growling. If there are any metal bands that don't scream or growl, please let me know.

  • @LotsaSpaghetti84 Oh man, were you misinformed. Metal generally didn't even have harsh vocals for many years. You would probably be most interested in traditional metal, power metal, and progressive metal. Try some Judas Priest and Black Sabbath for traditional metal, Blind Guardian and Mystic Prophecy for power metal, and Kamelot and Fates Warning for progressive.

Thrash metal is also notable. While bands do not often "scream", they do use shouts into their music. Try Flotsam and Jetsam.

  • dude you have to record it in a better quality this is so awesome!))

    good luck! stay metal \m/

  • @lmaiesfo Thanks! Yeah, recording this has been on my to do list for about a year now. I need to soon.

  • Pretty good.

I think that it's more melodic death than melodic black.

    You're a great composer.

  • This sounds really cool, even all synth. This style just reminds me more of an older video game track with an epic dark fight scene. But the composition is awesome. Don't give up on your talents, man, keep it up no matter how many people might say it's foolish

  • @Blashyrkh22 I'd like to add Megadeth for Thrash, as well ;)

  • @LotsaSpaghetti84 the genre is death melodic metal

  • @LotsaSpaghetti84 Blotted Science is an instrumental death metal band

  • @LotsaSpaghetti84 If you listne to the songs most metalheads listen to. some of the songs have actual lyrics. In my opinion metal is an aquired taste. I first started listening to classic then alternative then hard rock and then metal and each time you just crave for more of it when you get bored of some older songs.if i were you i'd suggest tryingt o listening to Five Finger Death Puch, War of Ages, All that Remains. Those are a couple of the bands that i started out with.

  • @LotsaSpaghetti84 Try Dream Theater man, great progressive band, their singer doesn't scream which I like. look at their latest album 'A dramatic turn of events'

  • Oh man, this is good material... you still have like tetris sound, first need rec with a best quality. However you do very well, but you keep falling behind the rhythm in the fast moment of the song... anyway I like your heavy tetris man :)

you are a great composer ;)

  • @LotsaSpaghetti84

Kamelot, Sonata Arctica - they are amazing

  • @Blashyrkh22 I was referring to modern metal bands. Most modern metal bands have lots of harsh vocals (screaming, growling, screeching, etc.).

I grew up listening to Metallica and Ozzy / Black Sabbath. I prefer older metal bands, I can't stand most of the new shit that's popular these days.

    By the way, I'm 27.
