Obama to add 20,000 troops to US streets in the event of Civil unrest

According to RT America (back in 2008), the pentagon has been planning on adding 20,000 troops to patrol US streets to protect the people in the event of a terror attack or during civil unrest.

Now that it is 2011, we are seeing our police forces acting more and more like the military. At almost every protest now, riot police in masks, head to toe cover, and machine guns show up. They do not identify themselves and they act like robots arresting anyone they can grab. How much longer will we allow this to continue? They are preparing for something.

It is about fusing military with police via a "Stability Police Force" of up to 20,000 (page 59). The RT/WashingtonPost report looks very plausible after all.

Ya screw that Obama guy! Those 20000 troops is exactly what he needs to tip the scale. The over 1.2 million active duty and over 800000 guard/reserve personnel stationed on over 450 military installations across the US were not enough to implement martial law if he wanted to. So what if many units including the 82nd Airborne is ready and able to deploy anywhere CONUS within 48 hours, its these 20000 soldiers that's gonna change everything.

Didn't you know? The Defense Department has been planning this since the mid 00s. Bush declared he would have 20,000 more troops in the US by 2011. This isn't a power grab by Bush or by Obama, but one by the economic system they stand for & uphold. The "civil unrest" they are worried about is what will happen when the austerity measures start hitting the streets. Americans are going to push back, and then they send in the troops. Fortunately, these troops have been recruited in a poverty draft.
