The Ann W. Richards Congress Avenue Bridge in Austin, Texas (USA) is apparently home to the world's largest urban bat colony, which come out from beneath the road deck at dusk in order to feed. Bat Conservation International estimates that up to a million and a half bats live under the bridge each summer (wintering in Mexico) so outnumbering the human population of Austin.

I shot this short video clip in April 2009.
