Child Labour Skills Centre in Senegal

This video by Plan marks the tenth annual World Day Against Child Labour held June 12th 2009. According to the UN, there are more than 200 million child workers globally with up to three quarters thought to be involved in some of the worst forms of child labour, including sexual exploitation, forced labour and slavery.

Girls are especially vulnerable being more likely to be withdrawn from school to work and more vulnerable to illicit trade and hazardous industries. This is why Plan provides skills based training as well as raising awareness on the importance of quality education for both boys and girls.
