You're ear is exactly right!... about the Harvest version. The run does go straight up G-A-B-C-D.

The question was about the Live At Massey Hall version which pre-dated Harvest and was solo. That one went A-B-D-E-D.

I'm not so sure this is correct. The whole run sounds like a step up to the D, not going past the D and back to it. That's what my ear hears.
