This one is for BoltLover711, who really wants to learn to draw Bolt. Being my first training video, it could use a few improvements, but I believe it serves its purpose nicely. This is the second of 2 parts, because of YouTube's time limit.

I apologize in advance for the somewhat poor lighting, moving camera, and my sniffling. I only hope this helps many of you in your quest for finding your inner Bolt :). I am still learning myself, so if I made any mistakes, or misconstrued any information, do feel free to comment. Thanks again!

Also, please note how I'm holding the pencil. It's much more artistic and fluid like this, rather than how one writes. Except when I darken, I tend to hold the pencil like I write for the detail involved. This was me drawing my 500th Bolt for my previous video. As I was distracted a bit, it didn't come out quite the quality I'd like. But it's a good start.

  • Hey!!! can you check out my improved drawing video? I have a really good drawing of Bolt in it! ^^ nice job btw

  • Which drawing are you referring to. I wasn't sure which one to watch.

  • I like your style of teaching there. I am going to start posting videos of me drawing maybe a few tutorials here and there, I have a few friends who would like to learn how to draw different characters. In the future when I do get a suitable camra, how did you position the camra to be at such an angle?

  • Put it in front of me on a tripod, straight down, and when editing, flip the video 180-degrees.

I use a headset and record the audio separately onto a laptop with good quality. I use a clicker like they use for dog training to give me a sharp peak to line up in post-production. Just sync the better audio with the flipped-video, and you'll be good to go.

  • you sound like john travolta lol very nice drawing

  • Thanks for saying that ;). Others say I sound like Bolt funny enough.

After I read your comment last night, I actually had a dream I was riding in a truck with John Travolta. He was teaching me a few things that were fascinating to me. Then he walked away and I decided not to follow. I swear it was him in that dream.

  • duct tape and the roof? lol

  • Ooh, you narrated the video for good sound quality. That's something I would've never guessed, and you're right that does help the sound quality for people to hear your voice a lot. And Thanks =3 I'm a little puzzled with one part of that reply, I will ask you about it with a message.
