My daughter and I love this play.

Beautiful arrangement and playing. Open G. Jimmy Driftwood used this melody to write Johnny Horton's hit, "The Battle of New Orleans".

Hello Eric, I bought your CD 'Black Key Notes' a couple of years ago and fell in love with this piece! Great to find you on YT!
Do you use a Parlor Guitar? Froggy Bottom? Somehow looks like it. Anyway .. great sounding axe ;)

Eric, so nice to see you on YT. I loved the years at the Old Town School together. Hearing and seeing the tunes again will have me retuning tonight and working on and enjoying 8th and Jan once more. Thanks
Amazing playing and what a perfectly timed bird whistle at the end there.
Thanks.

glad you like the arrangement. That bird always gets me too. You can here them in the background with some of the other tunes , but not on Q like that!
