Worldskills 2010 Championship in Brisbane Australia featuring the ABBTF Bricklaying Speed Test. This exciting competition tests the skills of apprentice bricklayers to build a bricklaying project in a set timeframe. The challenge is to see who can build the highest brick wall within the time limit and according to set specifications . This video includes interviews with Chief Judge Troy Everett and Bricklaying Apprentice Lester Tibbles - winner of the Worldskills 2010 ABBTF Bricklaying Speed Test 'Golden Trowel' Award. Great introduction for those who may want to become a bricklayer - or interested in Australian apprenticeships, apprenticeship training and a trade career in the building and construction industry.

  • The reason Bricklayers have to lay brick fast is because there dumb ass bosses dont no how to bid on a project and then count on the mason to bail them out of the mess they put themselves in. I bid my work so i dont have to bull whip my masons for speed and i expect my masons to take pride in there work. If you fly down the wall 9 out of 10 times you will not have full head joints and you can stand under it and not get wet in a thunder storm. Steve!!!!!!!!!!

  • it's a long shot... but... thumbs up if you came here from Swinburne's Harvard Style Guide!
