The Ugandan government is trying to prevent a monopoly from forming in the countrys growing oil industry. On Thursday, Ugandan energy minister, Hillary Onek said the government would favour a bid from Italy's Eni over one from explorer Tullow Oil for stakes in the country's main oilfields.
