  • Does anybody know where I can download a copy of the version which includes the speech before the music comes on? It says "Welcome to Treasure Island Dizzy" in a really muffled voice.

  • @drewgoloid I would normally say World of Spectrum but Codemasters have denied distrubution of their games for that website, I got mine from planetemu which is a French website but I'm sure you can find it on other websites like coolroms for instance.

  • Oh man I loved this. Massive memories flooding back to when I was 5 (I'm 30 now)

  • @pmanngw I think I found a copy of the Crash Special Edition of this game that played the title music in 48k style...

  • @pmanngw LOL I have to check it out for sure - wouldn't be the first time Whittaker's music been shoplifted by artists =)

  • @pmanngw Oh no I don't think that dude! Maybe you were treated to the 48K tune when you finished the game.

  • @Otouto72 Incidentally, the reason I was looking for it was because somebody played me a tune called "Escape Velocity" by the Chemical Brothers and I thought the intro sounded exactly like the 48k version of this song that I was thinking of in my head. I now note that if you go to your 48k version then that Chemical Brothers track is one of the suggested videos on the right LOL!

  • @Otouto72 Yeah that's what puzzled me - but I'm SURE I've heard a 48K version of this somewhere?! Someone help me out! I'm not going crazy am I?

I have to say I can't think where it would have been as I think I know all the other Dizzy music. Unless they did a Jet Set Willy and released two versions of the game with different music?!

Now you just think I'm lying ;)

  • @pmanngw I don't think there's a 48K version of this tune. The 48K title tune is the 128K in-game music. And no the 48K version have no in-game music.

  • I'm sure there was a 48K of this but where would that have been from? Don't think the 48K version had in game music?
