Deadly effect of Brazil's new drug

A new and deadly drug is causing great concern in Brazil. Called Oxi, it's a derivative of cocaine, but it's much stronger and highly addictive. Many get hooked the first time they try it.

In his second report in a Two-Part series, Al Jazeera's Gabriel Elizondo spoke with one former user in the Brazilian city of Rio Branco, who recounts how the drug almost destroyed his life as well as his family's.

Let me put it simpler:

Crack:cocaine + sodium bicarbonate + water = 40% cocaine concentration

Oxi:cocaine + kerosene + lime = 80% cocaine concentration

when you use Oxi, kerosene and lime go to your lungs and fuck them up

And the price of Oxi is 1/5 the price of crack so they will, eventually, being more used.

@deistmutt Thats unfortunate. Its been shown over and over, including within my own family and their heroin addictions, that you can't save someone until they absolutely hit rock bottom and want to change themselves. Anything else is just enabling them.

@neymoura Maybe you should check the laws in your country before you talk. Crack and cocaine are illegal in Brazil. Are there any legal stores that you can buy drugs at there? But there is the same problem in the U.S. in major cities.
