The only time anyone tried to secede from my state of Florida was back in 1982 when some dudes declared Key West as the Conch Republic. Their motto is "We Seceded Where Others Failed," so they get points for sheer ballsiness at least.

  • The USA pretty much ignored the proposal of a Deseret State? uhhh there was no proposal, never happened. Simply there was a country called the Republic of Deseret. USA fought a war with the Republic of Deseret, aka Utah war, conquered them and subjugated the people.

  • Absaroka also didnt become a state because of hitler. Since everybody was focusing on World War Two, Absorka was the last thing on their mind. If A. R. Swickard tried to make the Absaroka Crow nation a state five years earlier it would of probly of gone through and had been the National Park State with Yellowstone, Mt Rushmore, and the Devil's Tower.

  • Ya know, I wouldn't mind at all if all of those pathetically tiny east coast states did some merging. Seriously. Does New England really need to be six different states?

  • you sir, seem to not know the nature of brickroad's Vlogs..even after 11 of them
