@DoubleIntruder believe me i know shit about guitar and i can say dimebag was... maybe not a guitar genious in the sense of the word, but his playing style was unique, and a big inspiration for me and millions of others. he played some of my favourite metal solos ever without having ever played an arpeggio, he took the pentatonic scale and rocked the shit out of it like nobody else. and i bet zakk wylde wouldnt tell you any different.

@DoubleIntruder PanterA didn't copy anyone, they were influenced by Slayer, Sabbath etc... And Dime actually is one of the greatest (there can not be THE GREATEST guitarist ever anyway), you just need to listen more closely to what the man played, ok? so don't talk shit because you are simply wrong. One of the greatest bands ever (not just musically, but also the attitude and respect for fans and most importantly they NEVER SOLD OUT, just the opposite, every album was heavier than the previous.

@bojantomic88 With your opinion being that Dime will always be a better guitarist..your wrong, Dime used to refer to Zakk as the "Best guitarist in the world", he would shit bricks if he was able to read that. They're evenly matched, they have different soloing styles different writing styles, and at the same time they could/can mimic each other perfectly (not to mention Zakk's over the top acoustic). They're both Virtuoso's and Gods of the instrument. Quit the contest...R.I.P Dime
