@triggerthemoment You can put the Famous Flames in the Doo Wop category, but you can only put James Brown in the Godfather Of Soul category-- and there ain't no one else in there.

@bwanna23 Thanks, and hahaha Yeah James Brown was and will remain the man! But thanks really, I'm taking a course of Rhythm and blues, jazz and, funk; so I just wanted to know if the track would fall under that category!!!

Can someone please answer this for me: Can this track be placed in the "Doo-Wop" genre category?!

Rage In Harlem
James Brown's anthem !♪
Just one comment/question:
Please please is my favourite song from James Brown and have been researching about this rec/session for years. In this original take I only hear: Piano- Bass (Upright?) - & Drums (No guitar & horns)... I got some info that it was James -The Flames & Kings House-band. If you can kindly give me further info on this track, I'll be very much thankful.
Thanks in advance.
Peace,

@Virpatrick The only other info I could find on this song is that it was inspired by a comment made by Little Richard to James that involved the words, "please, please, please". James wrote the words down on a napkin and kept it thinking he could make a song out of these words that Little Richard had uttered. I cannot locate any other actual recording info.
