@Willish I totally agree with what you said about Connie not quite channeling Christine, but I supposed we have to remember that she was chosen as the perfect Maria -- and regardless of this performance where she wasnt Maria, she is a brilliant singer!

I didnt like Lee at all that much during Any Dream Will do but I think he was absolutely outstanding in this performance and really outshone Connie who seemed to sing it like she was still Mara and not an actress supposed to be channeling the character of Chritsine at least to some small degree. It bothered me greatly, would have rather seen Denise in her place to be honest. Still well done to Lee for such a beautiful heartfelt rendition!
