Gretchen Blackburn with House Rabbit Resource Network talks
our Pet of the Week. His name is Sinatra and he is a 2 year old Male New Zealand. His ID number is A595583.

She also talks about what to do with the rabbit you got for Easter.
1. Spay or Neuter your rabbit to prevent aggressive behavior and also prevent cancer
2. Diet 80% hay, 10% Timothy Hay pellets (not alfafa) 10% Veggies
3. Indoors 8-12 year life expectancy Outdoors will shorten their life summer heat or winter cold weather and predators outdoors.
4. Rabbits are social animals and do best in pairs (Rabbits pick their mate - do not pair a rabbit before you educate yourself on this process.)
Easter Rabbits are small when you purchase them from a pet store and they can grow up in 3 to 4 month and the cage your purchased will become too small.
Rabbits need plenty of room in their cage for toys and a litter box.
