  • My problem is that I listen to one old song here on my way to do something else, and the next thing I know I have spent an hour listening to old songs. They are like potato chips, 'OH JUST ONE MORE".

  • Everybody was so scared in those days that the Russians were going to take over!! Glad they didn't. Of course, 35 cents a gallon seems cheap to us today, but it wasn't so back then.

They put a little more class in composing music back then

  • I was 5 in 1963 and my faintest memories are of this year. Thanks!

  • I was born in "63. Hahahaha...

  • Creepy w/ the whole JFK photos... Had no idea this song came out in '63... Woulda guesses more like '65,'66...

  • LOVE the "Suicide Door" Lincoln convertible...I have a '67, that one is a '62 or '63. GREAT cars !

  • @madcitymcflyer I was looking at all the photos and remembering those times,, when the last photo (at the end of the song) came up, and all the horrible memories of President Kennedys' assassination came flooding back to me. that photo was taken on Main Street in Dallas Texas Nov. 22..

  • 35 CENTS A GALLON LOL my goodnesss lol jusr hurd bay area my get waoppinng 10.00! per galon lol

  • Great video to juxtapose events the year the song came out-1963. I was a junior in high school and waiting to celebrate my 16th birthday on November 23rd. Exciting and very innocent times that all evaporated with the President's assassination on November 22nd of that year. America was never the same after that shocking and very dark day. It's good to remember what came before that...

  • I live in mid Georgia

  • @LMHS63 I wasn't born until '63 and STILL remember my childhood America as you described it. Today's idiots need to all move to a deserted island on another planet and kill each other off (or something...) - it's a vicious cycle when the "norm" is to write crappy music and foist it upon a jillion young people that have probably never heard doo-wop or any other decent kind of music - your 2 cents are appreciated.
