Samsung f86 46" + PS3 (hdmi) = problems, wtf

There are two hdmi ports behind the Samsung f86. They are causing trouble: This flickering effect doesn't go away. The third hdmi port on the side works properly. I'm using an official Sony PS3 hdmi cable. WTFIGO. Help me.

Edit: hdmi 2 is not totally busted, it works with a hdmi-dvi cable (PC).

Edit2: Seems like this Samsung is somehow picky about the hdmi cable. I got a new cable and now it works fine.

Can same one help me . i got a new ps3 slim and i got a hdmi cable from amazon for 5 $ , everything was working fine but yesturday i try to play and it wasnot sound at all y used thr ps3 cables red white yellow and it was sound does anyone knows if the cable may the problem or the ps3 have this kind of problems I call sony and the said to send the ps3 for repair but what if is the cabla please help. thx

I think there is a setting in the PS3 cross media bar, settings -> audio, where you can select if hdmi will convey the audio also or just video. I can't check the exact setting now, but be sure to try it before sending anything for repairs...

Ok, the Samsung guy came over today and flashed the tv with firmware 1009.0. I finally got rid of some other problems, like the infamous "humbars": horizontal light/shadow bars that travel across the screen slowly in the background. They were almost invisible while using PS3/Blu-ray, but worst with dvd playback (scart), PC tv-out (dvi-hdmi) and PS3 playing PS1 games (hdmi).

So owners of this tv should definitely GET A FIRMWARE UPDATE!

I haven't tried with another HDMI-HDMI cable yet, but I have to do that soon, because now I'm getting more and more flickering when starting a HDMI-device in HDMI port 3. After 0-2 minutes it goes away, but still, it wasn't there at all initially...

A cheap HDMI-DVI cable by Delta seems to work fine in HDMI ports 1 and 2.

please! i need ur help! my ps3 hdmi works on probably everyother samsung tv. It works at my friends house but doesnt work with mine. The problem is that the ps3 doesnt display on the hd channel at all but it does on the sd channel. Its just a blank normal tv screen that just says HDMI at the top. I dont want to have to play sd forever so please help me

@juan5104carlos eso te pasa por comprar un cable de 5 dolares, vaya a bestbuy y compra uno con goldtips si no te funciona entonces es el ps3 y lo mandas a sony, y el cable de hdmi lo puedes devolver a bestbuy

@Travide hi... i just entry in samsung web page and i take the software.. you have to save in a pen drive and then conect the pen drive in your tv... is simple... on google put your tv model and write update firmaware.... try this things ok...
