  • Did the Gimp/Blender combo work on this? I have some incredible WWII photos and video of family (actually in action during the war!) that I need to do this with and would love it if anyone knew of any "how-to" tutorials. I'm working toward the phd in History and want to create a video to go along with my book, since I have dozens of photos of my relative in action, and thousands of photos of his unit--and at least 50 video clips.

  • could you do a tutorial please?

  • hi, awesome job! can you tell me if it's possible to to this just with motion 4 without using after effects? thank you very much!

  • I saw one of the History Channel documentaries on the Illuminati I think and did spot most of the photographs being split up by I assume Adobe Photoshop/After Effects. It does really bring potential boring images to life. Fantastic stuff!!!!!

  • WOW

  • Adobe After Effects

  • They have some expensive Adobe thingy that does it for them, I think.

  • Cool stuff... would u mind sharing a secret of how to create this. i am assuming u can use Gimp to create the cutouts of each image and then create a scene in a 3D software Like Blender. with the objects arranges so that they give a parallax effect. Then animate the camera and render?? Is there a better way?

  • holy crap!!! great work!! you have inspired me to do more 2D to 3D editing for portfolio keep up the good work. P.S have you landed any big jobs? id like to see more
