I'm tired of answering bitchy comments by people can't seem to read, so I'm putting this in the description.

If you're just here to ignorantly moan about how I'm "eating them wrong," then I refer you to the Wikipedia entry on century eggs. Click on the USES section and you'll see that many people eat the eggs raw.

It's not because I'm an American, it's not because your way of eating them is right, it's because it's how some people eat them, including my Chinese friend who gave them to me. His family prepares them as a side dish, simple slices.

THEN remember that not everybody likes the foods that you do, especially VERY strongly flavored ones like century eggs.

PS - I loved century eggs in congee. I didn't love them here, where I **DID** eat them in a proper fashion. Problem? Try biting me.

  • Lmao this is hilarious. I love the eggs though. It's probably not for you, but it also might be a bad batch xD

  • @cwy1989 - I've tried it in congee several times since this video and even shot one of it if you look at my channel. I liked it. The problem I'm running into over and over--and why all comments are now screened--is because instead of just saying "Try it like this," people say "You're eating it wrong you stupid American," even though the Chinese people I got it from eat it raw, and there are articles online mentioning eating it raw. I will try them with ginger, but I did nothing "wrong."

  • @benchilada well. trust me, a small slice of egg with a lil piece of ginger root n some sugar if u fancy. cos they cut an egg into 8 pieces when u ordered from a proper restaurant. n i thk u completely missed my pt. wt i was trying to tell u is the amount of the egg u ate. i dont care if u like it cooked. i just kinda want u to taste the raw egg in a better way so u can enjoy it like ppl from other culture... thts all. and keep enjoying food from this world

  • @cwy1989 - FYI, Wikipedia IS right in this instance. I guess you're too closed-minded to accept that a) Some people don't like the foods that you do, b) Some people--within your culture and without--eat food differently than you. No Wikipedia but do some internet research? The former is checked for accuracy, the latter is not. I did end up enjoying them in congee, but I guess you couldn't be fucking bothered to "do some internet research" on my own YouTube channel. Pickled ginger is an OPTION.

  • @benchilada fyi wiki isnt always true... u know everyone in this world can edit it right? i donno if the wiki changes of wt. but well u still eating it wrong lol. u shud hv it raw with slices of PICKLED GINGER root" and NOT half of the egg... one lil slice of egg and pickled ginger yea? u just make reli bad impression towards urself for not doing enuf research on the internet and make such video. btw the way u treat the food like u r so disgusted by it so i guess thts the problem.

  • @serene06 - Yeah, it happens a lot. I'm insulted for being ignorant by people who are blissfully unaware of how other cultures do things. For the love of god, people, look at other videos of mine, like the one where I eat and ENJOY century eggs in congee! :P

  • You are going to be bombarded by many Chinese people mate :))))) It tastes better when it is cooked, trust me, try it next time.

  • @cheungwalung - Please read the description under the video and my previous responses to people who have told me that eating it raw is wrong.
