@rbdrbd i recorded directly over the top of my backing track straight from my guitar amp (Engl Thunder) on clean setting going through a speaker simulator (not saying....) of sorts. I did a bit of post recording EQ & compression changes though. All done in Cakewalk Sonar 7. Plus it is a cheap ass bass, only about £200, sounds good to me though, cheers Yamaha!
