A classic excuse for Dutch children late to school is that "The bridge was open". There are many opening bridges, so it is fairly plausible. On Thursday morning, the bridge was open on my commute and this is what it looked like.

That's it. Mind you, the taller bit on the right hand side at the start of the video is actually a motorway, providing perfectly good two way access for cars.

What is the configuration of that bridge?
Two way on one side for bikes and one way on the other for cars?
We area long way from having such bike facilities here.
