Thank you for this dagger from my past. I was 9 years old, quaranteened at home for some contagious sickness. As I remember, it was the end of September `59 my face pressed on the front screen door, the sun going down when I first heard this song on the radio. It matched my mood. It is eviscerating but Holy as the hush of twilight. God bless you and those singers.

Back in the 90s when i was growing up, i had a band which i loved to go and see when i could called "The cheap seats". They did country sort of music and i used to love their cover of this, even more so when in 1997/98 we got a dog who had a wall eye, with one brown eye and one blue eye, we called him Blue-i. I would often sing this song to him. The band eventually split and blue passed away about 2 years ago, so this song has a very special place in my heart :)
