This is one of hopefully several clips from VHS's my father & I taped back in the late 80's,

This set of clipe is from an excursion run between Birmingham, AL and Columbus, GA

  • When she was restored and running, this engine took the ticket as the most powerful restored steam locomotive in the US (maybe the world).

    It breaks my heart that she now rests at the Virginia Museum of Transportation in Roanoke, Va, gutted with nothing but a cosmetic restoration.
