hello...can I charge my ipod even when the battery isn't dead? its hard to charge continuously for 3 hours with the computer on
MusicBoxAnime 3 years ago
Answer: Fully charging the battery takes about 4 hours. You can also fast-charge the battery to 80 percent capacity in 1 hour (2 hours for iPod (Click Wheel)). Charging the battery may take longer if you're using iPod as it charges.

Lithium-ion batteries can be charged finite number of times, You could listen to iPod a few hours one day, using half its power, then recharge it fully. If you did the same thing the next day, it would count as one charge cycle, not two, so you may take several days to complete a cycle. Each time you complete a charge cycle, it diminishes battery capacity slightly, you can put your iPod's battery through many charge cycles before it will only hold 80 percent of its original battery capacity.
