In beginning there is an old marathoner who runs with Korean Nat'l Flag on his chest. He is 손기정(Son Kee Chong), a 1936 Berlin Olymphic Marathon Champion. He had to run with Japanese Flag on his chest since Korea was colonized under Japan Empire. The incident Korean Nationalist Newspaper Companies erased Japanese Flag on his ceremony photo caused numerous arrests, torture and banning of companies. Even so, his running and winning epitomizes unbeatable zeal for Independence of Koreans.
