Here Matt Wesley uses an electric tilt table to stand. The tilt table allows Wesley to weight-bear through his legs, something able-bodied people are able to do just by standing. Weight-bearing helps Wesley and other people with spinal cord injuries prevent the loss of bone density in his legs. A tilt table or stander are a vital piece of equipment for paraplegics or quadriplegics who suffer from spinal cord injuries because they provide numerous benefits. Wesley uses the tilt table 3-4 times a week for at least an hour.
