  • You think that they are defending this country... AGAINST WHAT???

A third world country that cant defend itself? They LIED to get into Iraq. They LIED about WMD's. If you cant see its for the profits of defense contractors and the theft of oil and other resources your BLIND!

  • You think its ok to have tens of thousands of mercenaries who each make $800/ day form the war in Iraq. Half of those contractors have no ties or loyalties to America. When there is a disaster in America you want these mercenaries taking over your town looting you're house killing your family for resisting and that's ok with you? Talk to someone that lives in New Orleans.

  • He did cite all his sources if you read the book.

  • Except for the part where they have no loyalty expect to the highest bidder and are not bound by the Uniform Code of Military Justice. They are guns for hire, nothing more than mercenaries - ex-military or not, killing for a paycheck - there's no honor in that. They do nothing more than fuel the military industrial complex.

  • Scahill is the man! i want him.

  • youre a sick little fuck. i pity you.

  • This guys a liberal NUT, just like the rest of em' If someone is a Christian, FORGET IT they are the devil! There is NOTHING wrong with Blackwater. I don't understand what the problem is, its like having an expensive military. The people of Blackwater are paid much more because they are simply much more than just plain old infantry. They happen to be comprised of ex-special forces members, they know how to fight and they know how to do it good. Shut the fuck up libs. Nothing you can do bout' it.

  • First of all, BareknuckleRealist, do you even know what a "nation-state" is? Because it's not America. Maybe if you would have gone to college or high school you would understand that. However, you are partly correct that the U.S. doesn't have enough service personal, hence the need for contractors. Second, could the interviewer spoon feed that guy any more questions?

  • That isn't accurate. The cause is that a military is ultimately accountable to society, and certain people want a way around that. And, liberals don't denounce the nation-state. Liberals want a state. So do Socialists. Maybe some libertarians and anarchists denounce the nation-state, as you say.

  • The cause is liberalism. Since liberals have denounced the nation-state in college and high school, few Americans join the military, thus, a need for purchasing mercenaries.

How many multiculturalists join the army.

  • Anyone who isn't immediately horrified and incensed by this is a disgusting, degenerate waste of a human being. This is the kind of thing everyone should be talking about all the time, this is the kind of thing a democracy should serve to prevent. Fuck the Bush Administration, fuck Blackwater, fuck anyone who's even remotely okay with this.

  • there not mercenaries. their contracters. they don engage the enemy they dont do missions.
