Except for the part where they have no loyalty expect to the highest bidder and are not bound by the Uniform Code of Military Justice. They are guns for hire, nothing more than mercenaries - ex-military or not, killing for a paycheck - there's no honor in that. They do nothing more than fuel the military industrial complex.

I don't understand what the problem is, its like having an expensive military. The people of Blackwater are paid much more because they are simply much more than just plain old infantry. First of all, BareknuckleRealist, do you even know what a "nation-state" is? Because it's not America. Maybe if you would have gone to college or high school you would understand that. However, you are partly correct that the U.S. doesn't have enough service personal, hence the need for contractors. Second, could the interviewer spoon feed that guy any more questions?

That isn't accurate. The cause is that a military is ultimately accountable to society, and certain people want a way around that. And, liberals don't denounce the nation-state. Liberals want a state. So do Socialists. Maybe some libertarians and anarchists denounce the nation-state, as you say.
