I'd watch em in both.
Dubbing has come a long way. I actually liked the dub for rebuild 1.0, especially because a lot of the actors they brought back had time to think over their roles (i'm saying this even though i didnt like the dub of the origional show). Misato was particularly good in 1.0

When I watch TV, I'm usually doing something else. I honestly could care less how "bad" the dubs are as long as they get teh basic plot down. I really don't have the drive to stare at teh TV and read everything if I'm on the PC.
You can try to make yourself sound hardcore all you want by saying you prefer dubbing but honestly, voice acting can be just as terrible in japanese as it can in english. Their lips doing match everything they say in japanese either so theres a moot point
