  • well.. i don't know where your from.. but if there are advertisements, and commercials about him,, there IS a marketing team.. you think that.. him wife son,, can really promote himself worldwide.. if you do.. you clearly need an education!

  • Oh, -now we are talking taste, which is not-discusable. You say crap, I say not crap. You become famous by doing something, Your audiences like.

And the fact is, that more than a million people attend Rieu's concerts every year, happy and loving it and coming again, while You're sitting alone outside, being grumphy.

More serious - and curious: What kind of music do You listen to ?

    Best regards

    Per (Denmark)

  • and to the rest of you.. i dont know why you are thumbs down on my comments, seeing as non of you have anything truthful to rebut them with .. ..

  • ok... look at my first comment.. you are ignoring what i said ....

i didnt deny he is famous.. he IS famous.

    i was saying he's crap..

one would expect that someone famous has got sold out concerts

  • Well, Jhobbs

Rieu is giving more than 100 concerts a year, everything sold out in places not under 7.-8.000 seats and often up to 40.000 people per night. In Europe, You'll have to buy ticket a year in advance to get in. I normally have tickets in my drawer for the next 2-3 shows, and I'm not alone.

    But I think, You are...

  • I understand Andre doesn`t have a marketing team, It`s just him , his wife, son Pierre, the orchestra and technical staff. So bite your b... Jjohbbs !

  • ok... firstly.. best would probably be defined as superior to all both technically and musically.. neither of these two catagories does andre rieu fit under..

secondly.. he does not deserve credit for bringing people to classical music..

i think that the marketing team behind rieu deserve some kind of award for this guys success, i could never evenimagine marketing someone so talentless and bring him to be so successful..so there you have it, the secret to his success.. marketing bravo to them

  • He is a great violinist not for his virtuosity (which is, sad to say, what the world looks for first and foremost nowadays) but for his ability to bring people many types of music outside of the standard popular music heard today. He's not trying to be Heifetz or any such others; he's creating a new way to present not only classical music but great music, in general, to the world with a full symphony. And "best violinist", is a vague term. In what ways do they mean "best"?

  • ok.. this guy can play fucking one line melodies and people praise him calling him one of the best violinists of the century,, fucking rediculous..

and to edietheeagle.. i am a man of many talents

  • what is your talent!!!!
