I'm learning to use an original singer treadle sewing machine to make the girls uniforms at the SIMS Ambassadors Matron Unit in Benga Malawi.
It took some getting use to, but I finally managed the coordination.

  • This is fun! A simple machine for great results. The 1900's Singer are still produced in India, by the way. Easy to find spare parts!

  • wow great JOB

HA HA I remember treading and the sound of knitting needles when I was a kid and watching ladies knit forever and pleading with them not to rip it when they a mistake and they'd "it's okay I can redo that it's no bother". we used to run power tools in workshops with treadle too and belt drive everything in one shop or factory from the same engine or waterfall haha

  • um ok?
