Michael Moore Confronted At Occupy Denver 2011

Jabba the Hutt look-a-like Michael Moore, exchanged a few words with CBS4 reporter Evrod Cassimy before he was escorted to his waiting SUV.

When asked if he would acknowledge that he was rumored to be worth $50 million, and isn't he part of the one percent, Moore replied, "I do very well."

Cassimy: "How are you helping these people?"

Moore: "Because I do well, I want taxes raised on people who do well, including mine."

Cassimy: "How are you helping these people with your $50 million?

Moore: "I don't have $50 million."

Cassimy: "That's what it's rumored you are worth."

Moore: "Well, really. Is that what you do is sell rumors?"

Cassimy: "We're asking you for the truth."

Moore: "You're just punk media is all you are. You lie. You lie to people. Stop lying to people. Stop lying."

Cassimy: "Are you not part of the one percent?"

Moore: "Just don't lie, okay?"

You attack a man because he offered films the public wanted to see and made a lot of money LEGALLY by doing that. How about attacking the real terrorists, our elected "officials", who are selling off our nations, piecemeal, to a horde of foreign banksters and then expect us to donate our tax dollars to "bail out" the very banksters who are screwing us. @Scorp308 I am working on a physics degree. I have the potential to do a lot of good with my degree. How about he donates money to me so I can concentrate more on physics instead of working a lot. Instead he donates money to people with liberal arts degrees that don't work hard to begin with so they won't contribute much to society. More needs to invest his money to help the majority out like "evil" big businesses do instead of buying support after being pressured.

@Scorp308 So he donated 2.5 million dollars to 2500 random people who hardly work, don't know how to invest money, and in some cases don't need it. That isn't much of a donation. What he needs to do is donate is money that would help a lot of people and not a select few. Medical research, education, a library, alternative energy research. He can do so much more, plus it sounds like he is doing this after being pressured.

I have plenty and have benefited tremendously from the capitalist system in this country and I am so touched by this movement that I want to do something to help it,” insists Moore. “I’ve been very fortunate financially because of my films, and instead of waiting for the government to redistribute my wealth, I have decided I would take that into my own hands since I can do a better job." @Scorp308 The problem with Moore is that he makes millions making movies presenting these problems but he doesn't do anything to help. How come he doesn't donate money in health care research? How come he doesn't donate money into education? He makes millions but doesn't invest it to help people. Those coorporations you complain about at least invest their money to benefit man.
