Current News:
Venetia and the Voltage are thrilled to be recording 2 singles with the music company The Animal Farm based in London. 2 of the most rocking tracks from our live set will be produced by the Animal Farm team who will also be helping us to get the music to the people.
First single 'Worship' should be out in September, then another towards the end of the year and then the album will be released on the world -- you better get ready!
Glasto:
Venetia has just returned from the 40th anniversary Glastonbury festival. Playing 2 solo sets on a little stage the reaction was great! Is there a nicer crowd than Glasto people???
Need For Speed:
The band are also really excited to be part of the next Need For Speed game coming out early next year -- watch this space for details!!!
Tours -- in the Autumn to promote our next releases -- look out we are coming your way!!!!
Our 3rd single is out now! It's pretty raw and raucous, it's got plenty of guitars, synths and loads of oo-eee! The single package features 2 massive remixes. The first is by Clive Mead, Brighton's very own nu-disco, electro spanking whizz kid DJ producer. This mix has been getting huge plays on dancefloors accross the UK with support from man of the moment Thomas Gold as well as Out Of Office / Michael Woods, Uberchic (Sankeys), DJ Fubar (Syndicate), Denis The Menace, Oliver Lang (Bora Bora),, Luke Pompey (Kissdafunk), Greg Fenton (M8), Tom De Neef (Pacha). The London based robotofabulous Eugene Machine are on remix duty for track 3 - it is huge!! About 8 minutes of solid dancefloor magic, just like their live sets. Available from our site and I tunes.

The album:
Here it is - a brand new album of 12 original songs 'Keep Moving Or Something Will Eat You'. With themes ranging from drinking to sex to the follies of religion, referencing moonlight, myths and fishkeeping. It's a bit twisted - rather like ourselves. Pop melodies and screaming guitars sit with squelchy synths, dance beats and live drums. We like it - hope you do too. Out soon -- and a remix album to follow that!!!
The Voltage DJs are also out and about now having debuted at The Great Escape. It's all about playing a mixed up party set from hip hop to booty to rock and pop and much much more. We defy you not to dance!

it's like Goldfrapp only less hazy,
it's interesting, the sound has beat and you don't usually hear this kind of edginess it sounds like it just popped out from the early 90's, it has potential, it's fresh again. i like the singer, interesting voice and the music flows but the recording/mastering/whatever sounds messy i can't hear the instruments well and it sounds like mush sometimes, i just think it's about budgets and the video personally i really didn't like.
