Blinded by Light (Final Fantasy XIII Battle Theme)

This is the battle theme for the demo version of FFXIII, so it may or may not be used in the final version. I do not own this, all rights reserved to Square Enix.

Oh, I finished the game, and I have the hole in my heart to prove it, too lol.

Dark humor aside, I used to be able to forgive anything in a game as long as it was fun in the end, but FF13 seems designed to find your breaking point, even if it had to make one itself.

I would say you have a very strong and valid point, now that I think about it a lot of the previous FF games had history or timeline in terms of characters and the land involved strongly compared to this game.

it's a shame you couldn't enjoy the game, i'm not saying enjoy like how i mentioned it in terms of being immersed with characters or storyline but enjoy in the sense like, its a good enough experience you want to finish the game and accept what it has to offer. But that's ok to each person has their own flexibility and acceptance spectrum.

FF13 is a crappy game in general. I know- I played it, the only other FF game under my belt being the original. I'm an RPG aficionado, and a pretty forgiving one at that, but FF13 felt more like a test on the limits of a gamer's forgiveness, to see how much the game can screw up and still be enjoyable.

My story is the opposite. The game looked drop-dead gorgeous on the surface(first game to really use PS3' hardware since MGS4),but once I dared to play it, it was downhill from there. The music was forgettable, the design made the game more luck-over-skill than Russian Roulette, and you have to read the datalogs cover-to-cover because the plot is almost all filler and plot-holes. Noble effort, but definitely below average. I could not get the game out of the PS3 fast enough.

That's not tr--wait, hold that thought. *Flashes back to every FF before it starting from the original* ...Well, shoot. That's actually not an unfair statement. Huh... I think it has to do with the fact that the mythology and history of the world were not as prominent or not as integrated into the main play as the previous games. I think that's what makes a FF game FEEL like an FF game.

Sounds like someone didn't look at the pre-publish reviews. :P Square Enix was taking the series in a different direction. Just because it's different doesn't mean it's 'not a FF game.'
