we visited Saigon Sandwiches, Banh Mi Saigon, 560 Larkin St., San Francisco, CA 94102. phone: 415.474.5698

in the "Little Saigon" area of San Francisco.

Shown are the Tofu sandwich, the Special Combination sandwich, the Vietnamese Bean Pudding, and the rice wrapped in banana leaves.

We were sitting near the San Francisco City Hall across from the Asian Art Museum downtown and lots of birds started surrounding us once they saw we were eating. There was also a cute corgi dog that started licking up the crumbs.

Special thanks to the restaurant, Saigon Sandwich, great food, and very reasonable prices! Total meal of both sandwiches as well as the two other items came to just over $10 USD.

Saigon Sandwich was voted best sandwich in 2010 for San Francisco Bay Area according to CitySearch.

  • In Vietnam, it's called Bánh Mì Patê

  • @EvoMitsubishiLancer $4.50 for a banh mi? That's a rip off. It used to be like a $1.50 like 10+ years ago, now it's somewhere around $2.25 to $2.50 a sandwich in Southern California.

  • these guys have the best Vietnamese sandwiches. ask for roast pork and pate. probably 25-50 cents more but it is worth it.

  • come to orange county ull see these sandwich (banh mi) shops on every corner :P
