Karen had a golden voice.Celine and the rest of these Divas can't and couldn't hold a candle to Karen's voice.

The only voice that brings a tear to my eyes everytime I hear her sing.

Yes, agreed - this is the Japanese woman (Nathalie) signing using Carpenters mixes for backup vocals. There's millions of Karen fans out there and they can pick out ANY difference between Karen and anyone else singing in her style. I knew it 5 seconds in..but like KatsStray said a month ago..overlooking the inability to make the "th" sounds, it's not that bad.

@KatsStray Is she japanese? I guessed that it was a solo work from Nathalie nahnu, the old (not that time, of course) norsk singer.

The Oriental lady who sings - and a great voice she has - is named "Nathalie" (as best as Japanese to English translation works). If you overlook the inability to make the "th" sounds at the start of words - it's not that bad. Both this long version and the shorter made for airplay version are available on the Japanese remaster # 2 - if it is still available on amazon.com

Personally, I can't get enough of the Stars on 45.

the personification is not bad but of course we know its not karen but maybe something very close. my teenage years in jersey are instantly brought back whenever i hear this so very particular and heavenly voice. It's hauntingness beauty is impossible to get over. There have been many beautiful female singers over the years but Karen is yet far to be met.
