Reko Diq Project, touted as one of the biggest copper and gold mines in the world with an estimated value of 260 Billion Dollars, has been challenged in the Supreme Court. The challengers contend that the whole deal is shady and under foreign pressure. Apart from the mining industry contractors, contending parties believe the government has sold out for peanuts what rightfully belongs to the people of Pakistan. However, the mining company TCC says, the deal is totally transparent and one of the best in the history of Pakistan, and would bring a lot of dividends for the government and people of Pakistan. In this episode of Reporter, Arshad Sharif tries to analyze the deal and make it easy to understand for viewers the issues involved in the deal.
