This video is the 2nd in my series, showing how the waterproofing membrane is laid in a basement. Insulation is laid over a concrete base and a channel is formed to run around the outside of the floor. The drainage channel can lead to a sump pump or to a standard drain, depending on the circumstances. Plastic waterproofing membranes are fixed to the walls and laid over the insulation, forming a sealed internal space, any water that penetrated the concrete to the floor or the brick and block walls, will fall to the gully and drain away.
