  • Aaaaaaahhhh!

    That's right...

Now i get why this game is attractive to some people!

The player, Jennifer Jones, is a corporate Lawyer...

  • @sk8kidisme SO TRUE!

  • Not sure what just happened here, but what I can say is, I didn't come here with the intentions of masturbating.

  • i dont get it o-o

  • LOL Never heard of it till now!

  • For an EXTREME drag-effect, do a search for "Navibot Curling: Canada - Norway" ;)

  • @sk8kidisme

It looks ridiculous to non-Canadians, but for us, it's just a fact of life.

  • @darrenvh Further, the pipes with the coolant below the ice may be a different levels making some areas colder than others, changing the character of the ice. Also, physical factors may come in to play, such as a shifting of the bed caused by outside temps (in Canada, frost under the building can be a problem), or the structure itself. I once curled in a club where they had to stop using the outside sheets because the foundation was shifting, causing all rocks to fall against the turn. More.

  • @darrenvh Perhaps I should qualify my response. A perfect sheet of curling ice in perfectly flat. If you have ever watched the ice maker make ice, he (she) hoses it down with water and water finds its own level, which is flat. Where the inconsistencies come in are with the management and grooming of the ice afterward, or with other factors. "Runs" or "falls" occur when the ice maker hasn't used the shaver properly and left ridges. More to come.

  • @lgcrooks Then how do you explain how some rocks may curl with negative ice? When taking a wide shot, rocks will curl much differently depending on if you're using an in-turn or out-turn.

The ice is flattest at the centre line, and if you've curled for 50 years, you would have lots of experience with rocks either picking up curl or falling out as soon as they cross the centre line.
