Its a hatchling painted turtle. And red ear slider and painted turtles are totally different.

Slider turtle, newly hatched. I found one crawling around in the dark room I used to work in. How he got inside a closed factory door, crawled at least 200 feet, went into curvy hallway, and found his way underneath my door, I'll never know. Just make that if you do keep him, he must be fed while he's in water. My sister owns one and he follows them around like a puppy. She has a video of him on you tube coming to her when she call him.

Cute Jay. It is amazing how tiny they start out. You were scared of that tiny thing? This is the same man that can walk around with the whole SYFY community watching him on T.V. each week while he searches for Ghosts and possible Demons? I don't believe it dude.
