That is sexy ... even if it does have a blue oval on it !!!!
-
Now that's the way to build a cammer,
velocity stack's and polished cam drive's.

I really like the look of that SOHC. All Polished Aluminum, Fuel Injection, and a Magnito.
Kirkham in Utah builds an all Aluminum 427 FE side oiler. Motor.
Then you have Jon Kaase 600 c.i. Boss Nine Big Block Ford. Engine dyno tested @ 1007 h.p. and 829 ft lbs. and that is with a carburetor.
I want that BOSS in a 1966 Cobra Replica. Screaming mad horsepower for the street.

@thing503 They're out there. Two problems with that. 1] finding one. 2] getting the owner to sell.
Good luck with both :P

yupp and he had 2 ford 4 barrel inline carbs there like 3 grand a pice
-
@jc55 Yeah, the entire front of the motor is actually the timing cover.
-
@DMHDarrenmh Is it possible to find a gear drive for one of these? I read that and it just made me wonder.

Turbo's? Heretic jap motor lover, turbos are for light weights LOL9 I know but looks count for a lot) no turbos on the ultimate production big block! 8/71 up, gear drive ( all 68lbs of it) HM heads, Shotgun inj in a slingshot so you can watch it while driving it, Nothing less , Had a Pantera back in the mid 80's with a weber carbed one. Didnt handle any worse then they came stock but boy did it hook and launch, Stock ZF took it all (dynoed 865 on 115 at the time, Pink massaged ) miss that one

I'm a hard core hemi fan but one look at that chromed "soc" motor just made my pants get shorter
-
Quite frankly....that guy is what I would term an "American Treasure". And those type of "ultra elite" wrench men are quickly dying off. Thank God for a camcorder in these latter days.
I thought cammers were chain driven?

@jc55 They are chain driven. Under the aluminum front cover there is a 6 foot chain.
